Dwyane Wade no longer has to worry about checking his privacy hedges for peacock feathers. Terry Crews can stop thinking of new and more creative ways to ask, “But don’t all complaints matter though?” Because Gabrielle Union’s fight against NBC and America’s Got Talent is almost over. Deadline is reporting that Gabrielle and NBC have reached an “amicable resolution” regarding her accusations of racism, sexism, discrimination, and unsafe workplace practices.

Gabrielle and NBC released a joint statement earlier today to confirm that both parties are reportedly satisfied with the outcome. Their joint statement reads:

“We’ve reached an amicable resolution. NBC Entertainment appreciates the important concerns raised by Gabrielle Union and remains committed to ensuring an inclusive and supportive working environment where people of all backgrounds can be treated with respect.”

Deadline says that Gabrielle received “significant” compensation.

After Gabrielle was suddenly let go from as a judge on AGT, she implied that she was fired because she was vocal about her experience as a Black woman on the show. Sources claimed that Gabrielle faced discrimination for having a variety of Black hairstyles, and that she was punished for speaking up about a problematic joke told by Jay Leno. Gabrielle also had a big problem with AGT’s Jesus, Simon Cowell. She accused him of smoking like a chimney on set, and that the second-hand smoke was so bad, she got bronchitis. Gabrielle claimed that she tried to issue a formal complaint about the smoking indoors, but that her requests for Simon to puff outside were ignored.

NBC revealed that they had opened a dialogue with Gabrielle regarding her complaints of a toxic work environment, and in June Gabrielle gave us all an update on how that was going. According to Gabrielle, NBC’s independent investigation wasn’t that independent – she alleged it was paid for by NBC, Fremantle Media, and Syco (the production companies behind AGT). She also alleged she received threats from NBC chairman Paul Telegdy.

Even though Gabrielle more than implied than NBC was just going through the workplace complaint motions, it’s clear that they both found some middle ground they were happy with. So I believe that statement about it being an amicable resolution. Because if Gabrielle had any hesitation, or if the bullshit smell got too strong, she’d round up Lava and Jenelope and the rest of the Clovers and head to NBC’s head office.u7ju7jm Wait, what do you mean real life isn’t Bring It On?
