We all know that when Gabrielle Union vacated her judging chair on America’s Got Talent back in November, there was no bittersweet farewell party with cake and ice cream. Gabrielle accused America’s Got Talent producers and executives of creating a toxic, problematic, racist work environment. AGT, Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment, and Fremantle Media all kind of defended themselves against Gabrielle’s accusations, while NBC claimed they’d be looking into it. Did NBC mean they were going to send over some shady goons to look into Gabrielle’s windows and follow her family around? Because that’s pretty much what Gabrielle’s husband Dwyane Wade says happened after Gabrielle spoke out.
This revelation comes after Gabrielle filed a discrimination complaint with California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing against AGT producers and NBC yesterday. In it, she accused NBC Entertainment Chairman Paul Telegdy of threatening her not to speak out about her issues with the show. Gabrielle didn’t explicitly state what kind of threats Paul allegedly issued. But if Dwyane Wade is telling the truth, it sounds like someone who didn’t like that Gabrielle was talking might have pulled a page from The Scientology Guide to Intimidation Tactics (the number-one reviewed book on Badreads). People magazine says that Dwyane hopped on Twitter to share what he claims is the truth about what really happened after Gabrielle finally spoke out about her experience on the show.
Dwyane began by calling out everyone who accused Gabrielle of lying about her experience because she was bitter about losing a job.
Y’all have deemed her a liar after months of trying to inform y’all of the issues in the work place and also make sure other employees of color that comes after her won’t have the same experiences. https://t.co/bjnVzug6gi

So instead of making sure your work environment is a a better place for everyone. Y’all have decided that she what? Made it all up because she lost a job? She’s a black women in Hollywood she has lost out on many jobs https://t.co/bjnVzug6gi

Then he got into the dark shit. Dwayne says that after NBC decided to open up their investigation into Gabrielle’s allegations, their house became a target for people “watching” them, and that everyone in their family started being followed.
When these negotiations started my house started being watched and my family started being followed. My daughter couldn’t even go to swim class without us being trailed by people looking for answers. Well y’all have the answers and y’all still don’t wanna listen to them. https://t.co/bjnVzug6gi

I’m not going to speculate on who was allegedly following Gabrielle and her family. But her lawyer might provide a bit of a subtle clue. Gabrielle’s attorney Bryan Freedman had this to say in regards to her discrimination filing yesterday:
“Gabrielle Union informed NBC of racially offensive conduct during the taping of America’s Got Talent, NBC did not ‘stand’ with her in ‘outrage at acts of racism.’ Instead, NBC did not care enough to either promptly investigate Ms. Union’s complaints or even ask HR to get involved. Rather, NBC stood against her and directed its ‘outrage’ at Ms. Union for whistleblowing about the racially offensive conduct she experienced while working for NBC on America’s Got Talent.”
Bryan’s references are to NBC Entertainment’s social media post made last week, in which they claimed to “stand with [our] Black employees” in outrage over racist acts. Huh. According to Gabrielle, NBC’s lack of outrage in a racist act is precisely what triggered this in the first place.

Dwyane himself hasn’t elaborated on his allegations of possible skullduggery. Like, did he find a peacock feather in his trash one day? These are the facts we need to know. Meanwhile, NBC has yet to respond to Dwyane’s allegations. If they want a simple denial, I’ll save one of their PR reps the time and give this one to them on the house:
“NBC is shocked and appalled by the accusations made by Dwyane Wade. We would never behave in such a creepy way. Employ dudes who behave like creeps, sure, but who’s counting.”
